39 – Inside a Record Store Circa 1992 | There was no better era in music for this one artist

If you don’t remember 1992, let us paint a picture of exactly how far we have come: cell phones were only used by the 1% and they were the size of shoulder pads, shoulder pads were HUGEMONGOUS and the size of small buildings, and the world contained these stores in malls and strip malls and other types of malls called “record shops”. These record shops were populated by people that hated you, hated your musical taste (or lack thereof) and were constantly trying to change the world by telling you better music you should be listening to. At this point it sounds like a dystopian future, but at the time there were many mainstream movies about going to places to buy music. It’s barbaric to think about doing that now…
